TA Instruments Announces Acquisition of BAHR, Germany

On February 15, 2012, TA Instruments Inc. of New Castle, Delaware, announced the acquisition of BÄHR GmbH (Hüllhorst, Germany). BÄHR company is a professional manufacturer of high performance high temperature thermal analysis systems.

Talking about the acquisition, Terry Kelly, president of TA Instruments, said: "This acquisition further enhances the technical strength of TA Instruments and complements TA Instruments' market-leading thermal analysis product line. BÄHR's main products include: measurement of high-precision thermal expansion coefficient levels in high-temperature environments, optical and rapid cooling thermal expansion systems, high-temperature viscometers and high-temperature synchronous thermal analyzers. BÄHR's system provides researchers with key information in the development of materials and is widely used in electronics, energy, automotive and aerospace.
